…Bruce Power New Build Gets Community Support In early April, the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) released two documents for public comment related to Bruce Power’s new nuclear power plant. Brue Power is proposing to build up to 4 new nuclear reactors (4,000 MW) at the existing Bruce Nuclear site, north of Kincardine, Onario. The draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) guidelines, identifies the information needed to examine any potential environmental effects from the proposed project. The second document, the draft Joint Review Panel (JRP) agreement lays out the proposed procedures for selecting JRP members, terms of reference and review process.
