Regrettably, critics of nuclear continue to ignore the factbased environmental and economic benefits this clean,
reliable, affordable and safe source of energy provides. The proposal to extend the operation of the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station (PNGS) until 2024 is a case in point.
Since the Ontario Government announced its decision a year ago to operate PNGS for an additional four years,
opposition groups have been aggressively spreading misinformation
