CANADIAN NUCLEAR LABORATORIES – Chalk River Laboratories

About This Organization
This facility is located along the Ottawa River, about two-and-a-half hours drive northwest of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
CNL’s (Formerly AECL) R&D and ST&I activities contribute to all elements of CNL’s mandate, anchored by the NRU reactor, one of the world’s largest and most versatile research reactors. NRU enables applied industry R&D, medical radioisotope production, government S&T and advanced materials research via neutron scattering.
CNL has a highly skilled, multidisciplinary science and engineering workforce.
Chalk River Laboritories is the only facility in Canada capable of working with highly-radioactive materials in its hot cells.
