About This Organization

Cameco is Canada’s largest supplier of Uranium.

It operates uranium mines and mills in northern Saskatchewan, and produces more than one-third of the uranium supplied to the world market. Uranium mined and milled in Saskatchewan is transported to Ontario to be processed in to fuel for CANDU reactors and for other reactors around the world.

Workers at these mines and mills are members of:

United Steel Workers (USW) Local 8914

The Union has a growing membership of 650 between the 2 operating sites. Local 8914 has shown growth and diversity that they are proud of.
